01 Alterations
Austin Alteration Shop does alterations but not custom tailored clothing. What's the difference?
For one, it won't cost you an arm and a leg. Altering existing clothes vs producing a custom piece is much cheaper and if done right can yield pretty much the same results. Try us out and you will see!
02 Business Attire
You've worn all your suits for the week and have just one more meeting. Man, you need to look sharp for the board meeting. Well, go to the store and pick out a nice suit and bring it to Austin Alteration Shop so we can make it look custom for you! And save you a million dollars...well almost. Seriously, business attire is a big part of what we do here for both women and men. Old, new, off the rack, bring it in and we will do our part to make you feel special.
03 Wedding & Formal Wear
THE BIG DAY! First, congrats!! It's a time to look your absolute best and you need a seamstress that can make that happen. I have done many wedding gowns, bridal parties, and tuxedos through the years but it does not get old. This is your special day and I will personally make sure that those pictures that will be hanging on your walls are envied through the test of time. There is no need for you to stress over deadlines here so come in and relax and you will be shown with the utmost care and attention to detail.
04 Hems & Linings
Oooh shoot! That pen you left in your pocket just ripped your lining in your favorite suit. Well, bring it in and we will take care of it in no time. For folks that need a better length to their pant or skirt, I will properly measure you and hem that piece to work for you!
05 Zippers , Buttons & Patches
Ok, so Inspector # 9 didn't do his job when you had bought that pant and the zipper is out of commission. Easy peasy - I will have that taken care of for you, maybe same day service!
That laundry machine did it again to those buttons. Easy peasy - bring it in for same day service guaranteed.

06 Jeans and Leather Repair
Jeans can be very comfortable with the right fit and materials. If you are short, tall, small or an irregular size, bring your jean in for a free fitting. I will tell you what we can do to make it fit your body type. If you have an older pair that you just cannot get rid of, bring it in too. I will do my best to bring it back to life for you.
Leather repair or alterations is on a case by case basis. Bring it in and let's see what we can do for you.
